Important Notes

The accidental death or permanent disability suffered by your helper due to an injury must happen within 12 months from the date of the accident. The amount of benefit payable is subject to the scale of compensation in the policy contract.
This coverage applies up to 12 months from the date of the accident or up to the limit specified in your policy contract, whichever comes first.
This Letter of Guarantee is only applicable if your domestic helper is hospitalised at a Singapore government restructured hospital, and is capped at a maximum limit of $10,000 per admission. Subject to individual hospital guidelines. Other terms and conditions apply.
The final claim amount you will receive depends on the relevant pro ration factor applicable to the eligible hospital and surgical expenses being claimed.
This is payable if your helper is admitted as an inpatient or for day surgery to treat an injury or sickness, provided we pay the hospitalization claim under the policy. Post-hospitalisation treatment coverage is only for the same injury or sickness your helper was hospitalised for.
Renewal of work permit is done by NTUC Income Employment Agency (licence no. 96C5724).
These are additional coverage for hospital and surgical expenses above the annual minimum coverage for inpatient care and day surgery prescribed by MOM

You can choose your sum assured in multiples of $10,000 from $10,000 up to $300,000 each for you, your husband or wife² and your child³.

You can pay your premium either on a monthly or yearly basis and it will be deducted via your OCBC Plus! or NTUC Plus! Visa credit- or debit-card. If you wish to pay your premium on a yearly basis, the yearly premium will be the monthly premium multiplied by 12 months. Premium rates are not guaranteed and may be reviewed from time to time. The premiums that you pay are based on the sum assured and insured’s age next birthday. Premium rates will change when the insured enters a higher age band.

Important notes

¹ Premiums must be paid using your OCBC Plus! or NTUC Plus! Visa credit- or debit-card. All coverage will end if you fail to maintain at least one OCBC Plus! or NTUC Plus! Visa card issued by OCBC Bank.

² You and your husband or wife must be at least 16 years old at the point of application. The oldest you and your husband or wife can take up the policy is age 60 and coverage will end when you or your husband or wife reaches the age of 70.

³ Your child must be at least 15 days old at the point of application. The oldest your child can take up this policy is age 17. Your child’s cover will end when your child reaches the age of 25. This plan does not cover any claim or loss arising from insured taking part in full-time National Service.

Building means the building structure (but not the foundations), fixtures and fittings based on HDB’s or the property developer’s standard specifications.
Renovations means improvements and additions made within the premises by you or any previous owner or tenant in the form of fixtures and fittings. For example, this could include flooring, built-in wardrobes and kitchen cabinets. They do not form part of the building cover.
Contents means any physical and movable household items or personal belongings including money and valuables kept within the premises that belong to you or your family members. But it does not include, amongst other items, motor vehicles, pets and items connected with your business or trade. Please refer to the policy contract for the exclusions and the benefit sub-limits for each type of content.
Insured events means:
1. Fire, lightning or explosion.
2. Being hit by a road vehicle, train, animal, flying object or aircraft which you or your family members do not own or control.
3. Actual or attempted theft as long as force and violence are used to get into or out of the premises. You must not leave the premises unoccupied.
4. Bursting or overflowing of domestic water tanks, apparatus or pipes in your premises (but not damage to water tanks, apparatus and pipes and expenses for tracing the source of the leak). The premises must not be left unoccupied.
5. Hurricane, cyclone, typhoon, windstorm, earthquake or volcanic eruption.
6. Flood caused by water overflowing or escaping from its normal channels. This includes flood caused by the sea, windstorm, bursting or overflowing of public water mains or any other flow or build-up of water coming from outside the building structures.
7. Riot, strike or malicious act.
